My work involves lot of domestic travel in India and hence, I have flown almost all the airlines that exist in this country. Of the low-cost carriers, the most frequent I have flown are spicejet and Indigo.
Fares:
Spicejet is a decent airline. Its fares are always not so high as compared to some other tricks by other low cost carriers. The fares dont fluctuate much. They remain more or less consistent even till the last day.
Check-in and airport staff. Check-in is a no hassle at Spicejet. The ground staff makes sure that everybody gets out of the line as quickly as possible. I love the fact that they dont ask too many questions and assign a good seat upon request.
Flight Attendants:
Now this is one area where Spicejet can learn from Kingfisher. Spicejet air-hostesses ARE LAZY. They seldom walk upto a needy passenger to help. They will never greet you beyond the slap-in-your-face lipstick smile. I wish they get some training from Kingfisher.
OR
Every spicejet air-hostesses should be compulsorily asked to be-friend Kingfisher air--hostesses so that some goodness will rub on them.
In-flight snacks:
---------------------
The less said the better. Even though we pay for those sandwiches and burgers, its often cold and stale. They should change their supplier.
Arrival and Punctuality:
------------------------------
Most spicejet Pilots are OK and the aircraft are fairly new so the flight timings are usually well maintained and on-time is about 89% which is not bad.
My overall rating is three star.
Would love to hear comments and will update my review accordingly. Thank you for rating. This is my first review on MouthShut after a LONG time.
