I made the mistake of flying SpiceJet on April 03, 2009 from Mumbai to Goa. The flight was full, not a single vacant seat but the corrupt management of the airline still tried to earn maximum profit by not using airconditioning during most of the duration of the flight. Add to that the 30 minutes prior to take off and 25 minutes waiting for parking bay in Goa after landing without any AC. All the passengers were profusely sweating but their cries had no effect on the cabin crew who kept on saying that the control of AC was with the captain.
This was my first experience of a non-AC flight. The useless airline is cheating people in the name of a low-cost airline. I wonder if they are saving money on the aircraft maintenance too and risking the lives of passengers.
I am sure this was my last SpiceJet flight. I do not want to fly non-AC and certainly do not want to risk my life in the hands of a corrupt and characterless management of SpiceJet.
