SpiceJet flouts rules to harass customers

My brother booked a ticket from SpiceJet website for me. After reaching

the counter I was told to show the credit card. I told them I do not

carry my brother’s credit card. The lady in the counter said that as my

PNR was blocked, I could not board the flight, unless I had an

alternate mode of payment. I told her to show me the rules where it was

required for the passengers to show the credit card.(The rules clearly

state that for foreign international credit cards). They agreed that

there were no rules like that mentioned anywhere, including their web

site. Even the printout tells the passenger to show a photo id, which I

did.

To cut the story short, for two hours I tried my best to

get some sense into them, but neither the supervisor nor the frauds

department from spicejet was willing to help me out. They had a great

pleasure in telling me that they could stop anyone from getting into

the flight.

I need to take them to task for breaking and

creating rules on the fly and harassment. Any advice on how to go about

doing that is welcome.

An advice to others who intend to fly by spicejet: The printout given by them shows the CONFIRMATION STATUS and not the PNR, which could be blocked by their frauds department.

You would never know of it till you reached the boarding counter. This

is indeed a fraud as they have no right to take the money and block

your entry. The frauds department itself is a fraud.
