I recently got a chance to visit Dharamshala. It is a beautiful place to enjoy especially in this season when Delhi’s heat is at its peak. I got the booking in the hotel names as Spring Valley resort in Bhagsunath. Well the location is perfect but then comes the painful part... the service. You will not find towels or soap in toilet.
The phone won’t be working. Order tea... wait... how much time does it take to get a ice tea... guesses correctly, the tea will be served in 30 minutes after 2 reminders. Never got this much courage to try something else to eat :-). Going out for enjoyment, request the management to clean the room and surprisingly the desk will blame you for not intimating them to clean the room when you will be back in evening. Now comes the best part, you are checking out of hotel. The owner will be missing from the desk to whom you have requested some discount andhe promised the same.
You will find a illitarte kid at desk with some staff who will say papa is not at home. You have no other optio left rather than paying the bill. Do check the bill again as there are chances they must have taken your twice.(Order is recorded with each reminder and will be served after few reminders). You give your card to make the payment. Some how the machine is not working properly, the owner’s son and staff start laughing at you telling you that yur card is farud. How can one expect such a non professional behavior from a person on reception desk. How can one blame a person for keeping fraud card just because the card is not working on his machine. I would seriously not recommend anyone to opt for Spring Valley resort in Dharamshala.
They are un professional people with no ethics and manners to deal with their client. I think they are few people who have lots of money to invest into business but with no ethics and business sense. Please think twice before getting into the hotel
