I have been a sprint customer for over 10 years. Despite the high prices and lousy phone reception, I have been loyal until recently. My phone dropped into a public toilet. I wasnt about to stick my hand into the toilet and grab it out. I called sprint the next day and told them the situation.
I have insurance on my phone and have had it for the entire 10 year span. They told me that they would replace my phone for the $40 replacement charge. I explained that I had been a long time customer and have never had this happen before. I then asked them to waive the charge. They said "NO".
I refused to pay the cost of a replacement phone and have since cancelled my account with Sprint. It seems that they are "penny wise and pound foolish". Any recommendations on whom I should sign up with for a cell phone carrier?
