Disgusting game of marketing

When I first saw this commercial, I thought I enjoyed it. but after seeing this for a couple of times, I started to think about it. the cut-throat competition between beverages is misleading the common man. once upon a time, there was a healthy rivalry. we saw coke giving the catch-line ’’eat cricket, sleep cricket, drink only coca-cola’’. it was promptly replied by apna hyderabadi ( sorry, can’t help the local feeling ) Ajju bhai and Jadeja eating, sleeping cricket but drinking pepsi. then the stupid thums-up ad said ’’don’t be a bandar, taste the thunder’’. now comes the sprite ads which has nothing to do with the product but trying to make pathetic examples out of other beverages. sporting ’’ultra-modern’’ dudes in trekking gear and stuff is totally unnecessary along with the usual stupid ’’i-have-all-gyan’’ sprite guy. I still have an ad made in early 70’s or 80’s showing what a healthy competition means. a kid walks to the vending machine, takes two coke tins, stands on them and goes for the pepsi which is on the top-most slot. that’s the kind of stuff we need, not one guy making silly example of the other.

ps:- do you know that thums-up cleans your toilets better than any other acid we use? do you know that a tooth dissolves in coke in just 3 days? do you know that excess intake of beverages may lead to very serious damage to the intestine and inner layers of stomach? think sensibly and stop drinking cola drinks.
