The Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions shave off nearly 2-4.5 lakhs from IIT and AIIMS obssessed parents for the purpose of preparation for cracking the various entrance exams. But after 1-2 months, they shuffle the students into IPL Star, IPL-1, IPL-2 according to their ranks obtained in the mock tests which are held on Sunday mornings.
The absurdity is that the questions on the paper are the same as that in the study materials provided so it is easy for some students to learn and mark the answers on the MCQ sheet. The faculty for the IPL Star, IPL1 is up to the mark and they are coached for the entrances. The succeding sections are provided with a faculty which just passed M.Sc with a second grade and are incapable of teaching. For the last section, it is a miracle if the teacher turns up.
The students are not cared for by the management and are often mistreated by the A.O. , principal, or wardens with the matter being related to money, food or harassment by other wardens. Cell phones are not allowed and students maybe stripped and searched if suspected of carrying a phone. Phone calls are to be made from the canteen at 5 rupees per minute which is blatant overpricing.
The schedule is such that time for wake up is 5: 00 in the morning at which, the wardens knock the door in an extremely rude and intrusive way to say the least. The class starts at 6: 00 and goes up to 12: 50. Lunch and rest is from 1: 00 p.m. to 3: 00 p.m. Counselling session starts from 3: 00 p.m. and extends upto 5: 00 p.m. Tea and snacks are provided till 6: 00 after which, the study hour commences and extends upto 10: 00 p.m. Dinner takes place between 7: 00- 10: 00 p.m. Students are not indulged in any type of sports or activity of their intrests which causes a drift from studies. CBSE affiliation process requires the presence of a playground, but, it is not present in any Sri Chaitanya campus, be it Vishakapatnam, Hyderabad or Vijaywada. The students are not allowed to leave the campus on their own. Parents are replied in an extremely arrogant manner and are not permitted to take their wards without any satisfactory reason. Sick students are dealt with extremely rudely and for a minor cut or injury students are forced to visit a hospital.
