• I feel this school cannot even compare with Kerala normal government school.
• NOT giving much attention on kids, of course we cannot blame teachers, because in each section they allow around 32+ students when my son started it was around 20-25 kids in a class.
• The fees was almost 24000/- per year for pp2(around 6yrs back) this year the fees has become 56000/- within a short span increased like anything .The important thing is there is no value addition they are providing based on the fees which they are charging more over the student strength has been 50% increased in a class compare to 6-7 yrs. Average quality teaching staffs are there in school.
• Transportation facility during the initial days it’s completely a mess and charges are pretty high.12 KM 50 students bus they are charging approx. 37000/- per student.
• This year for comparison – last year 5th standard student joined in 6th standard this year the fees has increased almost 20% from last year fees.
• Handling such many student of this generation is not easy, so teachers cannot manage the kids properly(zero tolerance – small complaints diary not or something, Very much arrogant co-ordinates, few teachers and office staff. Sometimes they act as professionals but from the face itself we can feel that they are very much in defensive/don’t want to listen.)
• Also not allowing kids to ask questions and clarify their doubts about the portions in class. In case kids asking any doubt sometimes teachers blaming the students or not entertaining to clear their doubts.
• Teachers are not able to help the students to make their subject basics clear because of lot unnecessary off days. This is mainly due to some benefited program(inter school shuttle tournament /Tennis tournament /Teachers are going for yoga training etc…) due to these leaves teachers are under tremendous pressure to complete their portions even two-three days before exams.
• Strongly feel like the main benefitted people in the school are the the Principal /Administrator etc. . Many teachers are not at all happy working with SSRVM that’s the reason the attrition rate is pretty high. Most of the time the principal mam will not be available in school. Strongly feel like Principal mam and the administrator Geetha is good for nothing and they are enjoying. The school is getting students because of Ravishankarji’s name.
• There is no proper school timetable prior to the school reopen. The comedy part is school is trying to compensate pre-defined public holidays(due to festivals) with short notice that too Saturday’s. Decisions are keep on changing and not at all planned well in advance.
• No proper science experiments at school and all kids will have to do it at home. Even the science exhibition is a comedy. Basically it’s good for nothing.
• The fees will be declared in Jun /July that’s the reason parents cannot rethink about shifting the school moreover parents mostly worried about the donation they already paid. Also getting admission in another school they need to pay another donation. This could have been declared much before so that the parents can take decision accordingly.
• Greenery and open spaces are getting squeezed because of the corporate greediness. NOT following the values of ‘Art of Living ‘instead of ‘Art of businesses. Only money they are concentrated on now a days no ethics nothing just like other corporate schools.
• Another issue - Syllabus till Jan they won’t even finish even 50% of the syllabus, but in next 3 months they want to finish all the syllabus. Good Teachers change very often they cannot even sustain because of the politics and hectic workload.
• I would recommend to all the parents, if you want to join your kid even in mid of the year they never says NO, I guess they just want money. So please keep away from the school. Since no values they are following the ‘Art of Living’ and Sri Sri Ravishankar. Not sure he is aware of all these bad practices.
• Threatening students in case the fees got delayed not because of the office staff’s mistake.
• No proper parent teachers meeting all are one-to-one only they strongly feel like in the public forum people will bring out the concerns that means they know that things are not proper.
• Books and uniform vendors are looting the parents.
