Recently my spouse and myself visited Kashmir Valley. Our Local Tour Operators was DIVINE SHADOW partnered by Umer and Jahangir.
We visited SINTHAN TOP, GULMARG, PAHALGAON AND SONAMARG including Srinagar.
SINTHAN TOP was the most interesting and eventful.
Normally SINTHAN TOP will not figure in to the tourist books, and neither it was included in our itenarary prepared by our Bangalore travel Agent, but only due to the inspiring words of UMER we decided to embark on a day trip to SINTHAN TOP.
It is almost 145 Kms from SRINAGAR and after covering half the distance we could see snow laden mountains in different directions. Especially there is a view point wherein you sit with the background of magificent snow covered mountains.
We reached SINTHAN TOP by our INNOVA right at the mountain face at almost 16, 000 feet.
The view around was awesome with snow covering in patches.
Very few tourists were there with hardly 7-8 vehicles like ours.
We could feel the snow, walk on the snow with the overall experience being exhilarating.
On the return journey, we had a picnic beside a water stream of packed lunch arranged by Jehangir which were mouth watering prepared in traditional Kashmiri style.
