Hi Guys, If you are in Kolkata and planning to buy furnitures then never ever think of ST Unicom, Topsia. This is one of the worst Furniture Wala in the town. Beware of their so called very professional sales people who are trained to dupe customers. Here is my experience in short - On 29th March 2008 I decided to renovate my entire furniture range. After seeing some stores, I went to ST Unicom Company Outlet( If you go there we can definitely notice that their main focus on their imported products rather than their manufactured products).
After seeing few models, we decided a set of furniture which their sales person promised to deliver in next week as the stock was booked for someone else. They also offered us some surprise gift at the time of delivery. They accepted debit card and wiped my hard earned money in few seconds. Then tragedy begins - After one week they didn’t even bother to call about the deilvery. Once I called them they deferred the delivery for a day. Next day two very unprofessional fitters came and fitted the precious furniture like a road side carpenter.
We have also noticed a set of 4 defective chairs which we immediately informed their customer support(read customer cheaters) . They confirmed that the defective chairs will be replaced once fresh stock will arrive in next couple of week’s time. These defective chairs are really a surprise gift indeed( They didn’t send any gift as they promised that time). And here is the last story - I had a bad conversation with one of their owner and they refused all their earlier commitments stating - “As we(ST Unicom) don’t manufacture them we can’t replace these at our cost. Better you go to any nearby garage and get it repaired"
. Left chasing them as this will be simply wastage of valuable time and money as these people has became expert in doing the same. Just for the genuine buyers -! PLEASE DON’T BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM ST UNICOM! THEY ARE THE GREATEST CHEAT AT KOLKATA CURRENTLY.
