Hello friends today I am dharing my personal opinion on staad pro v8i software. I have used it for long 1 year.
From my point of view it has disappointed me for the following reasons.
It doesn’t provide actual requirement of reinforcements in rcc design. It always give excess quantity of reinforcements which is not budget friendly at all.
We Couldnot provide load in every several points of a structures. Especially you have to put wind loads as udl ( uniformly distributed load) which is very older version.
Everytime with light weight members this program always resulted fail which is never budget friendly at all.
The above following reasons are main point from my point of view. Practicing as a student it could be best option but in my opinion it is not recommended for professional uses.
Hence other updated softwares are there in market which is very efficient than dtaad pro v8i.
Hope my review will help you before purchasing paid verson of staad pro v8i.
