Have used the card extensively for more than 4 plus years. Just love the service provided.
The card is quite handy especially for making payments for Utility Bills.
They do provide Surcharge waiver for Petrol products.(But make sure you en-quire the minimum transaction amount to make the transaction eligible for Surcharge waiver)
But when it comes to loan: They keep offering you a personal whenever you call up the customer care. I personally prefer not to avail any such loan.
Cons:
EMI option: Do agree that EMI should be availed in case of need. But the problem with Standard Chartered card is that. Never over the phone or via mail nor in the initial documents that were handed over they specify in detail on EMI and its payment.
The trouble I have experienced is that I have availed EMI option and was paying the outstanding amount within due. But after 5 months I realized that I was charged with a penalty of 1500. Shocked to get the reason from Customer care that When EMI is availed, there will be other card number added to you account. The EMI amount will be charged to this card no. While making payment, the user has to pay a share of amount to respective card numbers.(2 transactions) failing to do so will be charged with a penalty amount. This section is not provided anywhere else. Just be cautious if you havent come across such scenario yet.
Other than that bad experience, have no other remarks on card.
