Beware before you go for any transaction with Standard Chartered Bank.
Here is my bad experience
1) Bank account -- when I opened my savings acount with them, I asked their representative about charges for inward remittance, and she confirmed me 10 times no charges for this.
When I did my first transaction standard chartered bank charges Rs. 250/-.
after contacting customer support they say sorry sir, but these charges are there. Our sales person made false commitment for this.
And in other case, unfortunately I have taken a personal loan, and I asked them many times any hidden charges they said no, Anil, Hitesh, were there when they say no hidden charges direct debit of Rs. 1.5 lacs to my account.
When comes dispersement, they straight away charged 2.5% and when contacting customer support, they say these charges are present.
I asked them to reverse everything, and now they say they will see into the case and get back to me in 10 mins or one day, but I did not receive any call from them.
Suddenly I got a reply that Mr. Manish Called me and resolved the case, but I can’t remember when he called me and discussed with me and resolved everything.
Their customer support is pathetic, you never get proper response. They simply say I cannot help you, and disconnects the call. Namita for instance, from customer support says I cannot help you in this regard.
