Let me begin by saying that I did not choose to Bank with Standard Chartered (SCB), I became an account holder as my salary was credited into it. This gave me a host of privilages that not many of my friends enjoyed at that time. I have since separated from my Company however I still retain the account because I find the Bank very efficient in all my needs.
Its not like I’ve not had any bad experiences at all however Compared to other banks (I have Axis Bank and State Bank), SCB is in a league of it own. In the long time that I have held this account, I have been to the Branch just once , Yes only Once ! You can get pretty much everything done from anywhere. Even the one time I visited was to convert my Salary account in a regular savings account. The Bank however gives me all the benefits I used to enjoy earlier.
The Phone banking and Net banking services are very easy and transactions are swift. SMS alerts are prompt. Along with all this I also get to brag that I’m a Standard Chartered a/c holder.. I for one have been very happy with this bank and it surprises me why it has been ranked so low here on mouthshut ...
I wouldn’t want to create a fuss however People who are into Loans are the only ones I see badmouthing this great institution . maybe they dont read before signing the dotted line !
