Well,
this may be slightly out of topic as I will be describing my experience
regarding the Standard Chartered ( hereafter refered to as Stanci ) credit card.
I did not receive my statement for some reason known to the Stanci people alone.
and the next month I receive a statement with a hefty fee being charged as a fine for not paying on time.
well, u wud think this is it but then the real thing starts!
as I was not at home during that time my father called the helpline for a clarification...
and my father was RUDELY told that its not his business and they will talk to me alone regarding this.
My father was badly shaken by this incident and when I called up demanding an explanation I was given all sorts of reasons why that might have happened.
i requested them to cancel my card, after which I was apologised to and promised that the fine wud be reversed and all that usual stuff.
but I did not relent and canceled the card.
so it has been a bad incident for me....
a big organisation like Stanci is not expected to behave like this. it may be one person whu did it but in my outlook it spoiled the whole image of Stanci and I will definitely think more than twice before getting into any deal again with Stanci.
I am still giving their card a rating of 3 as I think all other experiences with this card were more than good, as I never faced any problem using this card or paying back except that one time.
