Can you believe that in this Electronic Age, Standard Chartered Bank instead of progressing forward is going backwards and their level of service is constantly going downhill?
For them clearing your cheques on time is a low priority service and they are taking upto 5 days to clear a cheque ! Cheques which are being cleared on time are those above Rs 5 lacs, as Stan Chart has changed the criteria for high value to Rs 5 lacs and above.
Their Home Saver account (for Home Loans) is another pathetic story with abnormally high interest rate, errors in transactions and extremely slow service. I am sure that all Home Saver Account holders like me would agree about the high interest rates and erroneous statements. There have also been instances where a month old transactions are no longer visible on-line and you do not get any response if you complain. You should avoid this bank altogether as it the least customer friendly bank one can come across.
