I had a Manhattan card with 2 add on cards since 2005. The so called "manhattan experience" is one of the worst you’ll ever experience :
At most of the collection boxes they have, your payment will not be credited to your account even if you drop your cheque 5 days in advance.
Once they claimed my cheque bounced though there was enough balance in the account and my bank said the cheque was never presented to them (They would have charged for the bounced cheque if it had indeed bounced). It was just an excuse to make some money from interest and late charges.
Even after clear instructions, they goofed up by crediting all the payment to 1 card and charged late payment fees on the other 2. After innumerable mails and letters they did not correct their mistake. I stopped using the card this Jan.
Its the most unprofessional and unethical company that I have ever come across.It has the worst customer service among all I have seen. They are rude, ignorant, just dont understand your problem, and rattle off like a parrot on some printed answers thay have been given.
I would not recommend this card to any one - There are better credit cards with better service out there.
