I am using Manhattan Platinum card for 3 years now & its easy to use as it is linked to my Salary account in SCB from where I pay using a single click. I normally use this card for average 9000/- per month. I have earned a microwave, toaster as freebee gift against my Reward points. Everything was running butter smooth till August 2011. I redeemed my 6500 Reward points Online for Big Bazaar Vouchers.
I was charged redemption fees & Reward points were redeemed but I never received Vouchers. To my utter surprise I was told by Phone C.Care dept. "Sir you have redeemed it online & we have no records for that". Fortunately I got my Reward points after 2 months of fight. Next time I decided to redeem points 6400 points via phone in November. I placed the request on 15/11/2011 & here started the pain. I never received my Vouchers & kept on following up & continued receiving Fake assurance of 15 days, 5 days, 7 days, 48 hours, blah blah. I did numerous escalations, mailed them but in vain.
Ultimately I decided to cancel my card in January End. To my surprise, there was no Empathy for C.Care team for a customer who do almost 1 Lac worth of business every year & they were ok for me cancelling the card. I decided to redeem my remaining 1800 points for a belt & wallet set. To my surprise, I received this redemption in just 5 days. I again called C.Care & told them & they said "Sir Vendor is not able to locate your address". What the hell?
One gift is delivered in just 5 days & other didn’t received for more than 60 days????? Finally after numerous calls & spending lot of money calling, C.Care agreed to refund my points. However again to my surprise, my Vouchers got delivered in 3rd week of Jan. ha ha ha ha ha. So even though card has numerous positives, C.Care spoils the pleasure of using it. Trust me after sales can make or break the image. If you can take pain to deal with C.Care, this card is awsome from Features prospect. Choice is yours.
