I would like to you to get prepared for handling threatening calls from Standard Charted Bank. I also had a problem with standard charted bank 2-3 years back. I started getting all sorts of threatening calls from standard charted bank.
I asked Ms. Arch... ( who happen to call me) if I can deposit the same to bangalore branch of standard charted bank. She said no and I was asked to send the bank draft.
I sent them a bank draft to their recovery department at the address given below

However Ms Arch... kept calling me and saying that she has not received it for atleast 3 weeks. I used citibank online service. As per citibank it was got delivered very next day. Being in Bangalore I could not do much except asking citibank to give proof of delivery. Finally citibank gave me photocopy of delivery proof after getting in touch with their courier vendor. I faxed it (proof) to Ms Archa.. at her fax number. She said it’s not clear on who received it. Obviously it was accepted by their reception. She told me she will ask her boss to call me. Her boss ( don’t remember his first name ) Mr. Sood called me which sounded like if some ’Bhai log’ calling from Dubai. He warned me if I don’t deposit the amount in bangalore branch, be prepared for anything. Earlier they said no to bangalore branch.
I had no option but to deposit it in standard charted bank bangalore branch. I deposited it and reverted back to Ms Archa.. to let her know. I was surprised to hear from her that she has got the draft. She asked me to tell the address so that she can courier back the draft. Now it’s been almost 2 years and I have not got my draft back.
Also she told me that she will send a NOC letter. That also I have not received yet. To NOC letter, she explained me that it’s important as without the letter anyone from SCB may call me again.
