I was holding scb card in 2007 and was became a critical account in my life. on Feb07 I paid all the amount but un-knowingly they have charged service charge on 1800Rs. know it become 16000Rs. by adding fine and interests on that month balance amount. so the 1800 Rs become 16000 and no information I received(no statements, no calls) I was paid all the amount which I have used for shopping. as initially told its life time free card but they charges all service charges from beginning only.
As I came to know about this only after 1 year 4 months. I gone through the bank recovery department and asked the reason, she started scolding me like any think and made me to pay all the amount at that time only. she given a letter stating that your account will be closed in 10 working days and will get a no due letter from us. but its one month over I didn’t get the letter. I called to customer care and came to know that the payment was received but account was not yet closed. what should I do with the letter and what action should I take on that lady (manager-recovery).
is their any solution for this? I still not received the clearance from scb. if we loose paying the bill in time, they will charge late payment fee, tax etc.... but to whom should I charge for this?.
