As the mercury started rising I thought it’s better to buy a cooler. On weekend I was just changing the channels on my television I saw ad of cooler on StarCJ. I thought it’s good since they are selling products of Bajaj which is a good brand in the consumer product section. So I ordered using their website and paid the full amount using my internet banking account.
I thought that by paying the money immediately I may get the delivery quickly (What a silly thought from my side!!!). I had ordered on 19th April 2011 and was expecting the delivery within 5 to 6 days since I am living in Pune which is not that remote as far as the delivery is concerned. I called the customer care for the first time at the end of the sixth day they told me that be assured that the product will be delivered within a day or two since it has been already been shipped from their side.
They were unable to tell the exact date but they stick with 5 to 10 days timeline and reassured me about that. I called them after two days again the same thing they told me that I will receive it before the timeline. Then I called them after then time line was crossed then the customer care executive told me that he will pass this to the complaint department and they will call me.
I asked him by what time I should expect the call and he answered in a very polite manner that since today is Sunday and the complaint department has holiday today they will call me on Monday. Again on Monday I called them saying I have not yet received the call, again he assured me that I will be receiving the call within 24 hours. Finally on Monday evening I received a call asking me the problem( I had to explain her whole story again ) then she told me that this has been put on HIGH PRIORITY** and I will be receiving a call from warehouse department(another department and another timeline) as soon as possible.
Since I had no alternative but to agree with her I decided to wait for the call. As usual I did not received any call for next 24 hours, I again called the customer care and they said that I will be receiving a call in 48 hours from the last complaint and only 24 hours has been passed so I have to wait( what more can I do). Right now I am waiting a call from the warehouse department. Today’s date is 03rd May 2011 and I am hoping that the cooler which I will be getting from Star CJ (this is an assumption that I will be getting cooler from them -> Positive thinking in action) will be used in 2011’s summer. Otherwise I have to wait for one year more to utilize my priced possession of BAJAJ Cooler.
Update: 03rd May 2011
Today I received a call from customer care executive (surely this is because of my good karmas otherwise why should they care for a customer like me) and she told that due to some technical difficulties they were not able to delivered the cooler and she assured me that I will receiving it very soon since all the issues have been resolved. Again I had to say yes and wait for some more time (what else can I do?)
Update 04th May 2011:
Today I received a call from courier person and he told that product is at Hinjewadi warehouse and he will be delivering it 100% by tomorrow.
Update 5th May 2011:
Nobody called and the product was not delivered on the mentioned time. I called on the same number (courier person) and asked about the product. He told me that due to some error on their part the cooler has been sent to Bhiwandi warehouse so now they have to again bring back it to Pune so it will take one more day. He assured me that the product will be delivered by tomorrow (this time he told me to be 200% sure about that).
Update 6th May 2011:
As usual nobody called me. I tried again calling the same number but today he is not picking up the phone. Till now I have tried it 5 times. I think I have wait from some more time (What else can I do?)
