Misguided & Sold

Honestly! Here is my pending issue with STAR Health & no one yet has bothered to contact me.1. On May 1st 2020, I purchased insurance from Agent ( RajKumar Yelgam, who again coordinated with Sridhar) . I paid 16785 for 1 year.2.     My mother has BP & Thyroid from many years, this was declared and clarified with the agent that, this isnt covered immediately as pre existing exclusion disease. I asked multiple times to the agent if rest of the conditions are covered, to which he mentioned anything other than preexisting, cataract, dental & cosmetic is covered after 30 days of purchase.3.     On June 20th, my mother developed sudden pain in her stomach and we rushed her to Yashodha hospital, where doctors mentioned of Kidney stone that is stuck in her urinary tract and suggested immediate SURGERY.4.     Same day on 20th June 2020, I called my agent ( RajKumar Yelgam) at 11: 10 AM to check if my policy can cover this surgery, to which he mentioned YES. Upon his confirmation, I asked doctor to start the procedure.5.     To my surprise, I was told by Insurance SPOC in the hospital that insurance cant cover the expense & by this time we had already started the process.6.      I called up Customer Care of Star Health & I was told, expense cant be covered as it has 2 years of waiting period.7.     I had to pay bill of RS, 1, 41, 967 in CASH plus Follow up procedure charges8.     I wrote to Star health multiple times, to which my agent called on June 20th @11: 10 AM and on this day also agent mentioned to me, that I shouldn’t have written Star Health, as all expense are covered and he will help me in REIMBURSEMENT9.     Even till this time my agent was convincing me of COVERAGE. Now STAR HEALTH is not able to provide me convincing explanation or even have Grievance Team respond. I have raised with IRDA, who has advised to Start Health to resolve issue ASAP, but as usual they haven’t contacted me.10.     I called them 4 times today, I was promised that I would receive call in 2 hours and its been more than 5 hours, I called them up and they hung up.11.      If STAR HEALTH SAYS, all conditions were explained to me at the time of purchase, has someone told me? Is there any recording of call that their AGENT or Customer Support Team provide? 12.     These companies are fooling innocent customer, on pretext of already "informed to the customer" at the time of PURCHASE. I challenge, STAR Health Team to provide recordings, if I am wrong.P/131100/01/2021/000409Cover
