I am a 43 year old school teacher and happened to take a ‘Family flotter’ health insurance from Star Health [Customer ID 2413543-1] for an amount of 3 lakhs last year.
4 months through the policy I was diagnosed with brain tumor and had made a full claim. Star Health had entertained my claim and settled it in a record time of 6 months by giving me Rs. 2, 73, 580 (Two lakh seventy three thousand five hundred and eighty).
When I discussed this matter with many of my friends they were all praise for Star Health because many health insurance companies do not entertain such claims in the 1st year of the policy.
What amazed me further was that Star Health had no problem in renewing my policy and that too for the same premium amount that I paid last year (Rs. 7612). Unlike other health Insurance companies, Star Health is patient enough to attend to the calls we make. Moreover, after the claim settlement, there were no hassles in getting back all the submitted documents intact.
