Trust me, they are total CHEATS AND FRAUDULENT company, they only take pleasure in torturing their customers after luring them into paying high premiums to choose their insurance policies. We had a terrible experience and I have lost complete trust in these insurance companies. Here is my experience.
We have subscribed for a health plan(claim intimation number CIR/2025/131116/0699757: policy number: 11250858867100 disclosing this to affirm that my case is genuine), from STAR HEALTH INSURANCE for my aunt(mother’s sister) to secure her from any unforeseen hospital expenses. Unfortunately she was hospitalised the same year for 3 days at Care hospitals(Gachibowli), as she experienced sudden paralytic attack to her limbs(legs). The doctors performed their routine check up and couldn’t diagnose any apparent physical disability, so they have suspected it’s a case of Parkinson’s disease and mentioned the same in the discharge summary, however they mentioned she had experienced these symptoms in history and was hospitalized.
We have even tried to notify the insurance company before admitting but usually they take a day to provide approval of any sort, so we had to admit her without a second thought as it was an emergency(she couldn’t put a step forward and felt completely paralytic at that time).
The STAR HEALTH INSURANCE company however never came to our aid to either assist with a cashless claim or with a reimbursement claim. So we had no choice but to decide to make the payment ourselves and deal with re imbursement later which in itself was a HORRIBLE and WORRISOME experience to say the least.
We were then made to run around the office of. STAR HEALTH INSURANCE in secunderabad with all the relevant and IRRELEVANT documents. They have finally rejected our claim saying ‘”the patient had a history of PARKINSON’S disease as mentioned in the discharge summary and you have not disclosed this at the time of insurance subscription”. We have also produced a corrected written letter from the hospital(CARE Hospital -Gachibowli branch) that the patient does not have any history of PARKINSON’S disease. But the STAR HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY blatantly rejected our claim saying ‘We have made thorough checks and have decided to reject your claim . Any future efforts to rectify this is a futile effort ‘. We felt HELPLESS CHEATED and DOOMED of our hard earned money which my aunt has accumulated over years of retirement. We lost complete trust in seeking any kind of insurance in future due to the lack of transperancy in their processes. We have shelled out approx 90000 INR on the hospital expenses and CHEATED of another Annual premium of 80000 INR by the START HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY.
If this is the kind of contract the ‘SO CALLED ‘ reputed private insurance companies provide, how can anyone trust these companies paying such huge premiums. Feeling for my aunt who has been completely ROBBED of her savings by this FRAUDULENT COMPANY.
