To begin with...I am reading the ’’write your review’’ hints and would like to follow the same pattern while writing this review...hope that helps...!!!
First and foremost, this channel STAR ONE... for me is for selective viewing...I mean I watch this channel only when my cable wallah wants me to watch it...thankfully his mood swings are not so common nowadays and Star One is there on my TV...each day!!! let me check again...yup...it is still there...touch wood:)
Comparing Star One to the other channels is a tough task...only because it is comparitively new and in a different genre...it is an entertainment channel and fulfils that purpose...the tag line ’’Apni Tuning Jamegi’’ is apt...u can have a good time paas with this one...not many saas bahu saagas around, no melodramatic K serials and not many reality shows( yes it is true !!!)...it is therefore refreshing to watch it each day...
Ok..coming to why I like or dislike specific programs on Star One...let me think...I have seen Instant Khichdi, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Great Indian Laughter Challenge and Remix...alll are good and worth a dekho anytime...Instant Khichdi and Sarabhai make me smile everytime I watch it...it is genuine non sense humor that make u sit back and smile...Great Indain Laughter Challenge gave us a whole range of new comedy kings who are there to tickle your funny bone...Remix...watch it and you will surely hate it or love it...Dislikes are missing at the moment...can’t think of anyone...the recent Nach Baliye is another feather in the cap...it looks different and would be fun...the 10 couples dancing away to glory is a must watch...My only complain would be that it is primarily focussing on the hindi ’’north indian’’ belt...a little deviation for English speaking audience would be a welcome change...
Suggestions time...Competing channels in this category would be Sab TV n Sahara Channel...</>Sab TV with its Office Office n Yes boss gives a full quota on the laugh-o-meter...I watch this channel only for these two serials...earlier we had Vir Sanghvi talk show but it is missing now...:(( comin to Sahara...my cable walla doesnt show...may be not worth it.:))
That is where I end my review...for all those whose cable wallah’s are not taking the pain of showing this channel...time to call him up and ask for Star One...it is much better than viewing the 100 odd channels who have no past, no present and no future...
