It was a shock the Toshi’s elimination. I was never in support of public deciding who stays and who goes and this elimination is good example of it. If today you give voting to public they will vote out Mohmmed Rafi and select Himesh reshmiya. Too many other points such as looks, caste, state etc are playing major part of public voting and the main one i.e. VOICE is ignored.
I never voted for any participants, though I watched programmed regularly. Now I cursed myself for not voting for Toshi. May be because many people like me are not voting and thus we are the one who are contributing to the selection of the second best.
From the start I am watching this programme, Toshi was best, not a single performance was bad. Abhas is very good but in past two-three programmes I feel that he is concentrating more on performing than on singing. Harshit, Priyani, Mirande are trying to give their best in every programme. Though Sumitra, is my Maharashtra girl I feel that her voice is suitable for only certain type of songs. As for Abhilasha, when I heard her first audition, I also thought she has Lata’s Gandhar in her voice, but after that I feel that she is not yet ready, may be a year and two if she continue practicing she will be the best.
As for judges, I feel judges are more concern about their group than the best voice. They always try to find faults from opposite group. Alka Yadnik is a good singer but she is the worst judge. The way she is supporting Abhilasha !! It is so obvious, that as far as Alakaji , Abhilasha can do nothing wrong. I wonder if she would have been as much supportive of any other contestant. I feel Abhilasha will be a very very good singer, but she is not today.
With Toshi gone I feel like it is now not worth watching the Star voice of India. May be next time Abhas Harshit Priyani or Mirande will go and we will get THE STAR VOICE OF INDIA, BUT WHAT WE WILL GET, IS SURE TO BE SECOND BEST.
