After reading many, many articles on this final trilogy and chapter of “Star Wars” I found the articles to be predictive and accurate. I remember reading an article on line and in that article it stated that this final chapter of “Star Wars” was a tragic one. Well, I went to see this movie yesterday and after watching the movie I would agree. I found this chapter’s story line of “Star Wars” to be very disturbing. However, “Star Wars: Episode III, The Revenge of the Sith” is indeed a very entertaining movie. I was very impressed with its special effects, ambience, sound effects, action scenes, and its spectacular and unusual three-dimensional settings.
I also found the landscapes and space-like atmosphere to be beautiful and pleasantly gory. After watching the closing credits I found that George Lucas took very giant steps in making this movie very successful. He solicited the involvement of Japan and Australia’s best photographers, and animators, along with some outstanding on location production in the U.S. It is the above things I’ve mentioned, that bring this movie to it highest levels of achievements.
I wasn’t too impressed with acting from the cast; it was a bit short, dry and brief in each lead role. I found the appearance of the animated robots and creatures to be more enjoyable then its human actors. However, I was very impressed with the acting of Ian McDiarmid in his portrayal of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, a Sith Lord who betrays and destroys the Republic, turning the Republic into a tyrannical regime.
As I mentioned earlier, this chapter of “Stars Wars” is a most tragic one. In this prequel George Lucas revisits the beginning chapter of “Star Wars.” In this chapter we see the rise of the Sith Lord who betrays the Republic, and seduces a young Jedi to the dark side. Count Dukoo(Christopher Lee) is killed (that’s not a tragic). Most tragically, we see the fall of the Jedi Knights and its masters Mace Windu (Samuel Jackson), and Yoda who forces himself into exile because he couldn’t defeat Chancellor Palpatine, Lord of the Sith empire.
In this chapter of “Star Wars”, it is three years after the battle of Genosis, and the clone wars are coming to an end, evil wins and prevails. The Republic is overrun with defeat and evil. Master Jedi, Aniken Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), once a good Jedi becomes seduced to the dark side and becomes Darth Vader, killing young children. He later kills his wife through anger and becomes separated from his children. Darth Vader faces a temporary defeat by his closet friend; Obi Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) when they battle in a burning liquefy tunnel, causing him to become terribly disfigured. Thus, you’ll see how Darth Vadar gets his unusual robotic appearance. This story’s ending is terribly tragic, but I won’t tell you what happens you must see this wonderfully done movie.
I’ve pretty much expressed my thoughts and opinion of “Star Wars: Episode III, Revenge of the Stith.” It’s a fantastic movie that you’ll enjoy. However, I recommend that you see the second installment of “Star Wars” “The Empire Strikes Back it’s the perfect sequel to this chapter.” Star Wars, Revenge of the Sith is written, produced and directed by George Lucas, its running time is two hours, and thirty minutes. This movie was released on May 18, 2005.
