Well the idea of a band is what mainly leeds most guys(and gals too) to pick up the guitar.
Its not just about individual display in a band its about how u jell together.Making music needs a degree of mutual understanding, exchange of ideas which comes within a group of well knit people(I can claim this by experience, please dont ask me about the quality of the musik generated, ask me about the pleasure of generating something original sumthing you can collectively call’our’).This unique blending of styles gives bands their own’sound’ and’feel’ to their songs.
Band members usually turn out to be good friends, if you cant hang around you cant make musik as simple as that.They see the successes and failures together.They hang around making music, dreaming about ur future as a band, planning strategies, covering up for your buddies when they err .theres more to it besides just music when it comes to a band.
