I am also a customer of SBI and very much satisfied with the Bank.
The notes are not made in SBI, and certainly alleging for it even if found through ATMs is not correct. The staffs are human being & load these notes in ATMs and there is always a chance of human error.
CBS in SBI is a part of enhancing better customer service. It is certain that banks encourage using ATMs to avoid long QUEUE in branches. Moreover, long queues are sign of affinity with bank, whatever I feel. We must think of vast network of bank and it is not easy to computerise almost 14000 branches all of a sudden. Think you may find at least a bank branch in every town or in every lane in many towns a SBI branch is ready to accept your cheque all over India. Remember, all the other banks particularly private and foreign banks need higher service charges for various transactions and also minimum deposit amount is higher like Rs. 5000/-.( in SBI it is merely Rs. 500/-)
You have seen earlier the time of payment in banks. If the online is not busy the time taken for payment is in fraction. But I do agree that due to line congestion as in Railways reservation is irritating. You can talk with your mobile phone immediately. Are you not facing inter-connectivity problem. No phone from BSNL to Hutch, or reliance to airtel? The matter is same. Day by day our country is progressing. We are making ourselves better and better despite several odds – 2nd polls in a year in Bihar, attack on Jehanabad Jail, attack on our JAWANs at Lal Chowk and Bomb blast in Delhi!!!!
What are these? Every thing will be fine you may also see the day when SBI may send your money at your doorstep.
