I would like to tell that SBI is one of the worst banks. Their employees are too much egoistic and having so much bad attitude. Customer care number of SBI is 1800 425 3800.
I went to my nearest branch of SBI to open a new minor account under the "Pehli Udaan" Yojna. When I went there, there was a big line of the customers taking out new notes of 500 and 2000. I argued a lot with security guard that I don’t have to stand in the line as I am going inside for opening new account and not for cashing out money.
After 5 minutes of argument, he finally allowed me to go inside. Then after going inside, no person was ready to hear me and open my account. I requested nearly 3-4 people to come to the counter and open my account. Finally, after requesting and waiting for nearly 30 minutes, one uncle was ready to open my account.
As soon as he came to me, the first thing he did was started checking my documents with which I had no problem. Then he told me a very bad thing that "You have to bring a new fresh photo as this pic of yours is without moustache." I was like what the hell is he saying. After arguing with him for nearly 10 minutes, I went away from SBI without opening my new account and never returned back there.
A very bad experience of mine with them. Their customer service and ATM service is literally poor. Many private banks like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank are far better than them.
