I am with this bank for the past 24 years. No choice as my salary gets credited to the branch here in Trivandrum. Earlier , with drawing money for hosehold , the activity for which we had to allocate a certain time frame which could not be multi tasked with anything else! When the high and mighty (Staff) would deign to give us the money from our own SB accounts.
But for the past 5, 6 years the scenario is changing. With stiff competition from pvt banks, may be the bank is feeling the heat. May be the management was feeling the heat for quite some time and the feeling has now only percolated to the staff level! There is an appreciable change in the attitude towards customers now!
Now at least the basic task of withdrawing the money has become less painful due to ATM’s. I would call them cash vending machines as there is no facility to deposit either cash or cheque in these ATM’s as compared to ATM;s of ICICI which are well endowed in these respects. What is the use of having ATM’s in every nook and corner but cripple half of their capabilities? May be the demi gods in the so called management of the bank only know the reason.
Hope bank authorities take note of this and do the needful.
