I have been a member of State Bank Of India.The bank has made good changes to cope up with privatisation, they have provided phone banking system, ATM availability, Internet banking, but I have found that all these services pathetic.
There is highly any customer satisfaction provided by bank.
There are regional branches but the languages spoken is hindi at all the branches, it is advisable for the bank to speak customers language rather than asking the customer to speak their language.I stay in maharashtra and in the branch where is visit I found there is always miscommunication between the bank employees and account holders because of language. The ATMs are always dirty and a spreading out bad smell.
Over all the bank is presently not able to provide the new generation the private bank style customer satiosfaction.I would never go to SBI bank.
