I also had bitter experience with SBI. Recently on seeing their web site which said "Free Demat a/c" I opened a Demat a/c. Even before I begin my online trade they debited in my SB a/c Rs.400/- w/o any intimation. I struggled for more than a month to get back that money Rs.400/-. I wrote several emails to my Home branch, customercare, Helpdesk, querydp, complaints.homepage dpcpc and none of the officers responded to my grievance.
Finally when I made it clear that if entry is not reversed within a weeks time I may seek the help of Consumer court, immediately the same day my Home branch reversed the entry and informed me via email.
I had spent at least Rs.250-300 to get back my money.
Now I propose to move in Consumer court for compensation.
Any suggestions?
