I have salary account with SBI.
Negatives:
Their system doesnt update CIF with permanent address across services like PPF and Debit card- each service is independent and disconnected
When I exhausted my debit card and approached bank for new debit card, it directed me to traveln600KM to my older branch as my CIF was with that particular branch even though I had transferred my account here - absolutely preposterous- so I opened a new savings account with Central bank, cut a cheque to my CBI account and operated for one year like this when LO and behold, staff changes and new staff says, there is no need to travel 600KM
When you have two accounts with same CIF and intend to close one, they say you cant? Why? Directions from above! Nonsense!!!
Each branch operates in a discretionary manner and no one clearly guides the customer- we dont know whether they themselves are ignorant or is it absolute callous attitude.
When I want to open child account , Pehla Kadam or Udaan- some idiotic scheme- the guy asks for PAN Card of my kids??? So I applied for minor PAN Card and then opened child account.
6.-never took house loan from this bank but from another bank; surrendered my SBI Credit card and moved on to another bank; opened a separate account in another bank for my daughter because this bank did NOT make her account operational though she turned a major. Negatives are simply compounding and adding on every time I visit tge bank and branch. Its purely human driven entity with utter disregard for what they publish in their website and continue to make fools of public in general by conning stars like M S Dhoni! Sab ko para hai !!!!!
