SBI has Recruited Lazy and pathetic Staff who are not motivated enough to give even basic services. Went to SBI mira road branch to open PPF account. The person who is supposed to give that form was absent from his desk for one hour.
(not for any lunch or tea break) Guess he was out servicing his boss car. Bank closing time was 2.30 p.m he came back at 2.00 P.M after Searching his desk for good 15 minutes gave the form.
I wanted Details for Address Proof Needed . So after passing the buck by several staff Found the Right person. He says he is Busy to answer this You should ask this question before 12.00 P.M. And also that he opens accounts only for person who comes before 12.30 p.m. When the bank clearly states business hours till 2.30 P.m
So went back home filled up the form in address proof its written you can Submit Bank Statement. So did so and reached Bank Next Day before 12.00. The Official says he is not ready to accept this proof . He will only accept Credit card Statement. as this serves his Wishes or Taste. So went to different SBI at near Vikhroli Station Mumbai. Here also same Pathetic attitude of Staff to give Form she took 30 Minutes.
While submitting she says compulsory to have a savings account with the bank. To open PPF account Don’t Know if its mandatory. After good 15 minutes gave saving accounts opening form Which was most bulky I had seen of 10 pages . Asking for complete family history job historyetc etc. So it took good one hour to fill it and also need to find Introducer also.
Submitted the form. Here they accepted bank statement as Address proof two branches of SBI have different rules. Official asks to come after2 days to get savings account number. After3 days got savings account number no cheque book. no ATM card. They ask to come after 15 days and apply for cheque book. There 10 page form had field do you need cheque book
Inspite of marking yes. You need to apply again. Same for net banking you need to apply again.inspite of marking yes in 10 page form. There is Huge queue for cash deposits and withdrawls atleast one hour. After all this don’t have energy will to open PPF account with SBI. Even for simple query they pass the work to one another and avoid working. And sleep on the job. Best To Avoid This Bank Completely.
