I went to a Subway near Gachibowli-DLF in Hyderabad. Based on their new offering I requested for Toasties( Both Veg and Non-Veg).
Now check my experience
1) 1 employee ordered another to make them for me, the other employee walked off, He was called back again by the billing counter employee. He came disgruntled and asked me almost unwillingly what I wanted.
2) When I mentioned to make 1 of each toasties(Veg and non-veg), He was about to take a complete bread from their bread rack, when he was told that toasties bread was in the bottom rack, When he took out the bread, it was already cut and seemed it was a defective bread as it had its side and some portion of it already eroded.
3) As shown in the picture, He exactly took 3 pickles, 3 onion rings and 2 capsicon rigs and placed on the Veg Toastie and some grated cheese(just as much as we put sugar in our tea). For non-veg, 3 peparoni and again some grated cheese(1 tbl spoon sugar would have been more than what was put as cheese).
4) He then warmed it and gave it to me without any sauce packet or tissue which I had to ask. Well, I asked for extra onion rings as well but was turned down telling "Itta hi hai.ye toastie hai." and a smile.
It is a brilliant effort by Subway to reuse the defective breads and promote sales, But we Fans of Subway feel disappointed for this new offering.
I repeat to all my Subway Fans, Do not go for Toasties, and if you go, Do not blame me for not warning you
