I want to give a heads up to all the candidates who are preparing for MAT /CAT/ GMAT Examinations. Please take care while you buy your exam prep guides.
I found recently that many of these prep guides are prepared by trainees or non-experts and has numerous mistakes.
One such book which I want to call out is ’arihant’s Face to Face MAT with 18 Years ( 1997- 2014 ) Authentic and Complete Solutions of Previous Years MAT Papers. by BS Sijwali and Ajay Singh.
The book may have the right question papers, but most of the answer work out and the methods given are not correct. I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone. I found the quality of explanation of the answers, the method of arriving at the answer, the tutoring method to train the candidates to prepare in answering such questions , are all sub-standard.
I dont have other recommendation of another good book, I need to find out that. I was kind of forced to write this review as I found more and more mistakes and in-comprehensible answers in this book. What a waste of money and opportunity. I strongly feel that the answers were prepared by some kids who were preparing for the exam, probably free of cost.
