Winter has already knocked Chandigarh. The City Beautiful has become more beautiful with blossoming flowers like Roses- the beautiful creation of the nature along with other similar beautiful flowers.
The city is so beautiful that no one can stop admiring. In such a beautiful atmosphere every small place in Chandigarh can be recommended to be visited. It was the chilling January last year when my wife asked me to take her to the Sukhna Lake to watch the migrant birds. At first I hesitated due to cold but when she insisted I had to move. It was Sunday (6 am) when I took my bike and it took just 15 Min to reach the lake. The groups of people of all ages were walking, running, photographing, and enjoying the beautiful Sunday. It was enough to bring a smile on my face and I thanked my wife for such a nice good morning. Now was the time for my surprise when I could not stop clicking my camera and wanted to take snaps of all those beautiful “Avian guests”.
The lake was full of different kinds of “Water Birds” which are seen in winter only- from November to February. Black headed Bucks, Black ducks with their cute ducklings, and many other different species of Birds at the bank of the lake were the cynosure. Everyone present there was admiring them with heart full happiness and large smile on their face. We were there till the birds swam to the other side of the lake and returned home with a light mood and a great remembrance. Sukhna Lake is one of the ‘must visit’ place for every tourist.
Again the winter has arrived and the must visit place in Chandigarh in my opinion is the Sukhna Lake at early in the morning. If you are living in Chandigarh then don’t miss the chance to give yourself a beautiful morning. To all those who are planning a trip to Chandigarh- I’ll insist them to visit the Sukhna Lake. You can order the computer to make your sketch and collect it within minutes. If you are passionate of speed and a good swimmer you can also try speed boats. The "Lake cafeteria" is having every thing you need to satisfy your appetite and other refreshments, but is bit costly. If you love photography the lake will provide you unlimited options for instant thrill and certain admiration by others subsequently. You are certain to carry refreshing memory of the captivating scenes, cool wind, fresh air and lots of unlimited fun.
