Sukran stars Vijay, Natasha(or Anitha) and oh I forgot.....Ravi Krishna in the main role :).The story if it can be called one goes like this:
The hero Ravi and the heroine Natasha are college students who are in deep love with each other.Natasha has a typically evil step mom who tries to torture her at every given time along with her brother.....and the hero has a gem of a father who is more of a friend than a dad(Nasser wasted in an insignificant role here).As there is opposition to the love from the heroines’s mom the couple with the help of Ravi’s dad escape to Chennai.The step mom’s brother gets enraged at this and kills Ravi’s dad as revenge but wait.....in a twist before dying, Nasser himself kills the brother too.....saying he wont allow anyone who comes in his son’s way to be alive
The hero and the heroine escape to chennai where Ravi is framed for his dad’s death by the step mom’s friend (or relative I forgot) and is thrown in jail.After this the heroine is raped, Ravi is beaten up and both of them are left to die....They decide to end their lives......but at the right time from nowhere our Sukran comes and gives advice and lo!! all the miseries are forgotten and they lead a happy life......But not for long....to make a long story short, Ravi ends up shooting the people who raped his wife and Sukran, who is actually a lawyer defends and acquits Ravi of murder charges
There are plenty of scenes in the film which are supposedly for entertainment but grate on ur nerves...for eg:
The scene where a rowdy comes to kill Vijay and the sequence in the kitchen
The scene where Vijay stops and questions the Police officer
The scene after the song sequence where the director in a cameo role :)) steals the cassette
4.The climax where Vijay acquits Ravi is too much even for a hard core fan....he does some morphing with the lawyers photo and swallows the bullets and gets the verdict in his favour!!!
- etc etc etc
Why does the police officer(played by Sreeman) have a Video recorder and why does he need to keep using it all the time?There is this particular scene where Vijays father is asked for an autograph and after he gives it, the fan asks him to sign as Vijay’s fan......2222 much !!!
Coming to performances, Ravi krishna has a lot to improve.....but his dancing I think has improved compared to 7G.Natasha has no big role here but I guess she is ok.....Vijay gives his usual performance...but some of the scenes and dialogues could have been avoided......He mouths some dialogues Targeted specifically at Ajit after a particular Fight sequence.Nasser is wasted in an inconsequential role.The villains are the typical fili villains so nothing much to talk abt here
The songs are actually welcome coz the story is such a drag.A couple of the songs are hummable ..Cinematography......nothing to rave about. as for the direction...puhlease save me!!!
In conclusion, this movie is strictly for the hard core Vijay fan....or for people like me who had nothing else to do and went and spoilt a saturday night......DONT GO FOR IT
