First of all, I want to mention a bit about mouthshut. This website does not seem to do justice to some of the services. This website is more like a Rant Arena, instead of a genuine review space. The reason I insist on this is because I was seriously contemplating on whether or not to buy Sun Direct HD Box. When I googled "Sundirect+ Mouthshut", I saw this same review index page where it was rated only 1 star out of 5. If you notice carefully, most of them rant which led me decide that Sundirect is nothing but loads of sh*.
However, I went against reviews for the first time and went by guts and instincts to buy Sun Direct. I feel that this is one of the smart decisions I took. Because Sun Direct especially for people living in Tamil Nadu, is more than an ideal package. The price is seriously outstanding and incomparable to any competitors, be it TataSky, Airtel, Videocon, DishTv. They provide almost all the channels. And their service is quite good tool. I logged a complaint with them and they resolved it within 24 hours. And the representatives were kind and trained properly.
Still, some of the reviews you read before this may well be real as I asked the SunDirect representative myself on why their word-of-mouth is so poor. He replied as if he already knows about SunDirects situation. The SunDirect marketing and post sales management has been refreshed completely and focused towards customers.
As for the box goes, it has superb option to record High Definition channels using just a USB Stick(although you should have formatted in FAT32 format). The video is Mp4 encoded which means this is the cutting edge when it comes to Dish to home.
Their HD Channels include SunTV, K TV, Sun Music, Star Movies, Z Studio, Nat Geo, Discovery, StarHD1, StarHD2, Gemini TV. All in all, if you are residing in Tamilnadu, don’t even think once, close your eyes and go for SunDirect HD!
