SunDirect DTH Service

I have been using SunDirect for 3+ years now. Since I am not a TV buff, I am quite satisfied with the channels that I get in SunDirect. It is extremely disappointing to say that SunDirect customer service is awful, rather I could say that there is no customer support for this DTH. Sometime last year they announced a satellite change, and all the customers were supposed to retune the dish position. With no surprise, nobody contacted or even when I try to contact some dealers they say that please contact customer support or rather pay a service charge of Rs.300/- and get it retuned. So finally, I had to pay the amount to have a disrupted service.


Another issue is when your balance get expires you have to run around searching for the recharge voucher in your near by town (most case, it is unavailable and the shop vendors had suggested me to switch to some other better providers). Another way to get your account recharged is online (I prefer this mode as I do not need to run around in search of a coupon; but there is a flaw here, the customer service portal has 99% downtime. Either you sit and pray, or retry is the only option. This is more frustrating when one want to subscribe a channel (a-la-carte pack) or you recharge on a monthly basis (I recharge for a year to avoid stress by retrying the customer online portal)


In simple terms SunDirect DTH services is average; but one gets adjusted soon if you don’t have choice. SunDirect has strong customer base, hopefully someday they will have better customer support and services.
