I bought this product because it was the largest standalone oven available from a known brand. After I faced a problem I had to follow up multiple times. The service centre takes over a month to send their staff, and even then they are unable to resolve the problem.
After I purchased the oven I realised that the design has a major flaw, there is no indication that tells you that the desired temperature has been reached. In most ovens, a small light goes off to indicate the desired preset temperature has been achieved.
My recipes were turning out bad, so I invested in an in-oven thermometer and then I realised that the temperature in the oven came up to the desired baking temperature of 180° only if it was set at more than 200° and after putting a cake in the oven the temperature would then drop to around 120° and never increase!
I also realised that the lower part of the cake would not get browned and the upper was getting browned. This led to the cake not baking properly and getting burnt from the top before it was properly done.
I complained to Sunflame, on 28-9-2016 that the lower heating element does not heat sufficiently. After mutliple following up someone came to check on 22-10-2016. The service centre told me there is nothing wrong with my oven, and after writing to the company, someone came on the 30-11-2016 and adjusted the item. It took more than 2 months of following up and escalation to get my oven working!
Now the same issue has recurred, Once again, the lower part of anything placed in the oven, even on the lowest rung, does not brown sufficiently. The oven door also does not close tightly.
I complained on 13-02-2017 and they finally sent a person on 4-3-2017 after multiple reminders. We placed two slices of bread in the preheated oven in front him, and after a few minutes the top of the slices and bottom were very different colours. He admitted there was a problem said he would give a "report to the service centre, " On inquiry with the service centre they told me that he has said there is nothing wrong with the oven!
How can one bake if the top of a cake gets burnt before the lower gets cooked? This is a convection oven! They even ask me questions about my recipies and ask what temperature I bake at, and other such questions which are ridiculous. I am truly disgusted now, and wonder how Sunflame has managed to build such a brand with this kind of service.
