Sunsilk Lusciously Thick and Long Shampoo. During my growing up years I tried a range of products from Sunsilk, Nyle, Clinic plus, Pantene, Shikakai soap and what not! You name it and I must have tried it at least once LOL. The result was hair thinning and hairfall.
I also cultivated the belief that my hair "needs" a conditioner. Just having long hair is no use if they are dull and lifeless. I know what we eat reflects on our hair. But I feel just as the wrong shampoo damages your hair, a good shampoo makes them better. Dove made my hair somewhat better but something was still missing. I was yearning for the “Kaale ghane lambe mulayam baal”!
Recently I tried Fructis fall fight which gave me hairfall(Strange isnt it?). And this time around Dove didnt rectify it so I was desperately seeking a new shampoo that would suit me. I remembered a good friend uses Sunsilk and her hair is nice(touch-wood) so I bought 2 sachets for each of its 3 flavors. I LOVED the Stunning Black’s fragrance and it definitely made my hair feel better. Let me also mention that I didn’t use any conditioner this time. I really wondered if I should try the remaining 2 flavors and I am glad I did. I had read better reviews for the yellow sunsilk but it failed for me. It gave me an itchy scalp, dandruff and hairfall. This reminded me of the fact that what works well for others need not work for you. Now I was left with the pink one and I felt that if this doesn’t work I’ll stick with the black flavor.
Then finally I used the Sunsilk Lusciously Thick and Long shampoo. It is light pink and has a nice soft fruity fragrance. My hair felt good in the shower itself and I decided not to use a conditioner.I had a little doubt because there were times when my hair felt good in the shower but within hours after drying them they would get less manageable. So I was wondering if it would be the same case this time. After drying I noticed how soft my hair had become, especially near the scalp and they got some weight too! Not the kind of weight that makes you feel like you have oiled your hair or applied tons of serum.
This was the texture that I always wanted and it made my hair feel as if someone had breathed life into my dull weightless hair! The hairfall has reduced considerably too.Now I end up running my fingers through them often just to check if they are still soft and silky. Its been 3 days since I washed them and they are still good and make me smile. The tips are slightly less softer(not dry just less soft) then the rest of the length but never the less they are much much much better than what they were. My hair feels great even without the conditioner.I thought if the shampoo has worked for me its conditioner might too. I want to see if it takes care of those tips. All I’ll say is that I have finally found the shampoo that I was looking for :)
This is my first ever review, I would love some constructive feedback :)
