A small write up about a well known fast food pure vegetarian joint tucked away amidst the shops selling pre-owned 2 wheelers, located in the southern part of Bangalore (near Sajjan Rao Circle, Viswesvarapuram - the circle of Temples). Ask around and you should be able to locate this.
Want to catch a cuppa fresh coffee (I bet it brews better than Cafe Coffee day here), also tea, anytime hot idlis (fresh rice puddings) with mouthwatering sambaar (spicy side dish) and Chutney (grated coconut and chillies - spicy) as add-ons, Khara baath (medium spicy), Kesari Baath (sweet dish) or Bisi BeLe Baath, Pulao or Pongal (rice preparations), Vada (indian version of the doughnut, but not sweet), then step into Suprabhata. I have been a regular visitor for its taste and cleanliness and ofcourse, pricing. Nothing seems to be costlier than INR 15.00 (Indian Rupees)! A breakfast or evening snacks for a person should not logically exceed INR 30.00, until the taste catches on you start hogging :))
The place is open to business from 06:30 AM to 07:30 PM, serving fresh food all the while. Tucked away to the left as you enter this place, is where you pay first for what you want to savour next. A small cash counter produces all those receipts from the ECR machine who clattering you will keep listening as you gobble up the dishes. If you happen to be coming from your morning business purchases from K R Market - chose your time to visit this place, as it is quite nearby. This little place is a bit cramped, but very tidy. As for eating the hot stuff dished out, swalpa adjust maadi, and your co-eater will cooperate and make space. Else come out and stand and eat on the walkway (aka footpath)! As for parking, please do not expect valet parking. You could chose to park your 2 wheeler, right in front of the hotel or nearby places (just be on the lookout for no-parking sign, there are enough side roads without the sign).
Definitely recommend this place for all foodies out there - try out and you will know for sure. Just goes to say Good food is part of good tradition.
