Even though the city is called as diamond city
and silk city, it is not connected to the prominent domestic destinations of the country.
Surat is world’s fourth fastest growing city and it ranks ninth in india in terms of GDP. The GDP of the city is 57 billion USD but is not connected properly to domestic and international destinations.
As per my opinion, the main obstacle in the way is its infrastructure. AAI must take necessary steps for improving its infrastructure and facilities.
The cities like vishakhapatnam, jaipur, lucknow etc. which doesn’t stands in front of surat in terms of development, per capita income, GDP, population, business, employment etc. are having international airport.
We await for the prompt action which should be taken by AAI.
