I knew of the short comings before I bought the bike like mud spraying and head light from my friends Gixxer dealer convinced me otherwise but to my disappointment. The engine is best in the segment no doubt but I am starting to worry about endurance of this bike starting to see some knocking effect after just 300 KM even in 3rd gear.Until 200 km it was great I do not think this engine will last for 4 years. Coming to the point handling, engine best in the segment.
Cons:
Sprays mud from front and rear tyre not for professional who wear casuals, trousers will be sprayed with mud in Rain. In Bangalore it rains 250 days in a year ppl can go for FZ for sure in Bangalore.Small path hole is enough to drench this bike in mud, horrible design.No rear tyre hugger like FZ 2.0, Pulsar.If you can wash your vehicle every time it rains than this bike is good.
Snaps attached indicate fate of the bike after the rain subsided over 2 hours on good road after I return back from office.
The headlight sprays light all over the place except in front of the bike you can see light only when no other vehicle is on the road in dark. Literally have to slow down in dark.
Tank is made of plastic paint job is worst I have seen in any bike I had bajaj vehicle for 10 year well maintained without any scratches except some accident marks I have scratches on the tank just by placing my Vega helmet plastic bottom on the petrol tank.
No ladies foot rest, pillion seat uncomfortable.(no wife and mothers, only GF;)
Close foot rest in order to use kick rod not practical at all worst kind of design.
Flimsy accessories quality I cannot adjust left side mirrors its locked.
Pro:
Best engine better than FZ FI 2.0, Unicorn 160 in terms of power.
Efficient compared to FZ FI expect mileage of 42-46
Handling comparable to FZ FI
Feature rich console well designed and thought out.
Looks awesome except the exhaust I know every one likes it but I do not I would have liked that kind of styling/quality on front cowl or tank not on exhaust. Its like making underneath of the car chrome plated that’s my two cents, which will get dirty and no one cares about it.
This bike is for students and teenagers, go for Unicorn next best engine if you want all round bike.
Fz FI for handling comfort and overall optimization of the bike.
If I have to slow down in rain and dark no point in having power like this bike has, plus suzuki service is worst in the market actually there is no benchmarks service provider for two wheeler. But suzuki is one of the worst for sure have experienced it as soon as I bought the bike.Am freaking out for my first service
The dealer straight forward said while selling that they do not get any margin from vehicle so they look forward to service to do that expect taking you for a ride on spare parts even if not needed but this is true with other two wheeler service centre also.
