This is my first bike that I will be purchasing. I stay in Poonaand wanted all package items viz; looks, styling commutable, economy etc. And I found this bike particularly fits everything
FirstI made a list of 5 bikes satisfying my needs includes
1.Unicorn (My first choice)
2.CBZ Extreme
3.Apache 160/180
4.Pulsar 180/200
5.Suzuki GS150r
Folks remember it is difficult to compare these bikes since everyone has its ownUSPs, merits and de-merits. Itsupto to our choice that what we want and fits according to our lifestyle. Nodoubt Suzuki is a world leader in two wheelers and is striving hard a createits own market share in India.
WhatI liked in this bike is Stability, butter smooth engine without vibrations(Thanks dampener & engine balancer technology) a good mileage compared toother bikes and the most is seating position while u ride. I found it bitdifficult in apache.
Shockabsorbers are good (But considering its global presence could use newtechnology for the same). Iwas confused between Unicorn & GS150R and took almost 1 month to decidebetween the two Mybrother owns Unicorn since 2 years. After 10k+ Km run I found a distinct changein Engine noise. Icannot say anything abt GS (But hopefully everything turns ok)
Enginewise both has almost same performance, economy stability. Butthe digital Console, 6 speed gears(used occasionally) Power/Economy modes, goodrun at 5 gear @20km/hr (very useful in traffics) added the winning edge and finallymade my mind to this awesome bike.
ButI am not sure about the Power/Economy modes. Isit only indicative about the speed to which we have selected or wen u switch tospecific modes there is a change in engine operation? Itried to extract this info from sales buddies but disappointed me. They hadmeager knowledge abt it. Inall I liked this bike very much and satisfies all my needs. I expect mybike(Black colour) to be delivered on the eve of Ganesh FestivalRegardingthe modes please enlighten me if u have any info abt the same.
