The smaller derivative of one of the best cruiser in the world is finally launched in india which is non other than Suzuki intruder 150.
Hello guys its me shailesh and I’m here to tell you my experience with my Suzuki Intruder 150 which I bought a month ago. Before starting I would like to inlight you with some of the information of this iconic baby intruder.The baby intruder look a lot like its bigger sibling intruder of course with same headlamps , rear which resemblances the elder same rim size in the front and the back. Well its the Suzuki’s first small capacity cruiser here in india.Suzuki have confined the baby intruder feild just into looks because every other thing is borrowed from the suzuki Gixxer.So lets just start with an engine, I loved it on my bike and on my friends gixxer too. Its the same 155cc engine with power ( 14.8ps @ 8000rpm ) and torgue ( 14nm @ 6000rpm) figure. The gear ratio have been altered to meet the bottom and mid range run. Throttle again here is very responsive and transition reminds you so much of the Suzuki gixxer . The tires provide unmatchable grip giving a feeling of really delight ( front- 100/90 17 tubeless rear- 140/60 17 radial tubeless) . Cruiser is all about comfort now lets talk about ergonomics the intruder 150, given with a really big seats and provided with a relax posture giving no chance for a rider to complain about comfort. While you throttle up you can see a nice and well finished digital meter borrowed from gixxer taking easily too tripal digit speed. Suspension on the bike is same as of gixxer but it has been tweaked to a stiffer side which is why it is one of the main reason for its better handling but you do will feel the need for the soft suspension when you ride through a bumpy road. Talking about the bad road let me tell you about the ground clearance, intruder has 170mm of ground clearance and trust me its worth it. Suzuki offers disc at front and rear as standered since the dynamics in cruiser offen require rear breaking well rear breaks do there job quit well and ya it also comes in single channel abs version.
What I found to be missing is the larger fuel tank , Suzuki only offers 11 liters tank and company claims the milage round about 44kmpl but what actually I found is 40kmpl . With a full tank its gives range up to 440km to 450km . Swing arm and handle are tweaked to meet the requirement of the chassis offering better handling and stability. What goes up is the weight about 148kgs which is almost 13kgs more than standard gixxer well you wont feel a bit while riding.At rs 98.340 ex showroom delhi it is 18 thousand more expensive than avenger 150 and 10 thousand more than avenger 220.
Why I chose intruder 150 ?
Its simple with 18 thousand more than avenger 150 it gets me led projector headlamps , fuel injection system and an abs system which I have been craving for and of course a look of beast , making a reliable and best in its class.
