SUZUKI SLINGSHOT PLUS(Disc Self) - purchased it yesterday evening(05/23) from Khandelwal Motors Indore. I am very pleased to say that this bike has made me a great fan of it. It is really a big PLUS when it comes to Driving Experience.
I used to own Hero Honda Passion Pus(had it for 7 years) which I gave to my brother and so was in need for a Bike. I was looking for a bike in 100-135 CC segment and within 63K budget. I did the market survey and research for around three weeks before deciding to buy this bike. I had zeroed in on the following options after all the exercise which went in taking drives of the products offered by all the brands, reading reviews, taking feedback, studying specifications:
1) Suzuki Slingshot Plus
2) Honda Shine
3) Honda Twister
4) Honda Stunner
5) Yamaha YBR 125
6) Yamaha SS 125
7) Hero Honda Glamour
8) Hero Honda Passion Pro
Note: Did not like any Bajaj or TVS product in 100 - 135 CC segment for their cheap looks and lack of comfort
I then carefully studied each of the mentioned products and did comparison on all the important factors including Comfort, Mileage, Appearance, Price, Stability, performance at speed above 60, etc. Price was the last factor as all these bikes were in my budget. Throughout this exercise, SUZUKI SLINGSHOT PLUS proved a winner with a big margin. Every other bike has some or other major issue or is too much overpriced for the features.
At 54-55K this bike is truely much more than the value for money. You just need to take Test Drive of this bike to get the feel of what this bike is capable of.
1) Riding Comfort - the bike offers outstanding comfort and riding leisure. The best you can find.
2) Mileage - Delivers above 65 kmpl
3) Handling - Excellent in terms of Stability during driving. You also get the disk brake option within 55K.
4) Speed - You can easily reach 75+ within fraction of time. It takes some time for new bike to reach 90+. I have driven my friend’s bike at 95 kmph. If you want more than 95 kmph then this bike is not for you.
5) No vibration at higher speed
6) Tires are of optimum size.
7) Good on style
8) Superior build quality
9) Gear Indicator LEDs - finally the gear indicators which are Actually Readable. Looks really good on console and are of great help.
10) Price - No competition for price. You drive it, feel it and you will find every other bike way overpriced.
The only concern one might have is the current market-share of this bike. But that should not be a constraint at all as you would not want to buy something which has market-share but you do not like. So, simply go for it and enjoy riding experience.
