Yeh jo desh hai mera SWADESH hai mera..... how many of us belive in this line even if we do how many do justice to our motherland by doing their bit for the development of INDIA the answer is none.
Swadesh Directed by ACE director Ashutosh Gowarikar is milestone in Hindi Movie Industry which captures the hearts of the Audience with its simple, down to earth and captivating screenplay. Movie revolves around the Character named Mohan Bhargava who works in NASA and returns to India looking for Kaveri Amma and his journey rediscovers his love faith and connection of his roots which belongs originally from INDIA.
Casting was perfect. Never expected this kinda performance from SRK. Well he only has 2 movies in his entire career to be proud of Swadesh and Chak De India. Shah Rukh gave his heart and soul to Mohan and the output is great masterpiece. Gayatri Joshi as Geeta showed the Modern yet Simple urban women who is doing everybit from her for the development of rural India. Kishori Ballal as Kaveri amma was surprise excellent. Rest of the characters did a splendid job.
If Screenplay was the body of Swadesh Music was the soul of the movie. A R Rahman creates magic again. Music was perfect for the Genre of Movie Swadesh was. Its soft, simple, smooth and leaving an effect on your mind after watching it. Rahman has this incredible ability to make instant connection with the story characters and their journey struggle happiness and patriotism. Rahman ROCKS.
Powerful one liners in the Movie really makes you think. Ice ll always melt in its own land this is its destiny.Switching the button in our house and giving light to neighbours. I saw this movie when I was in UK and I am sure it has left some effect on all the NRI s after watching it like it did on me.However its great movie and proud to be an Indian.
